Jo Tandberg
Wellness Expertise and International Influence
Jo is a board-certified and experienced Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor (AWC), a certified Yoga Instructor (500 hr training + 5000 hrs teaching), and a certified Cannabis Counselor. She has been a speaker and/or instructor at various prominent national and international events and schools, including the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) annual conference, American Herbalists Guild, and the Hemp CBD Expo, among others.

Jo's transition to wellness began in 2006 when she began studying and teaching yoga and Ayurveda, two sister-sciences that had a profound impact on her own health. She incorporated these teachings into artfully curated events by organizing, marketing, and leading yoga and wellness retreats to groups of varying sizes. Her retreats are known for their immersive experiences, combining yoga, Ayurveda, delicious cuisine, plant-based herbal therapies, into memorable and unique adventures.

Her expertise in wellness is further demonstrated in 2015 through her role as founder of Canna-Veda, a platform for education about cannabis and herbal medicines, and in 2018, as founder/CEO of ZV Botanicals, an Ayurvedic Wellness formulations brand. Jo created these successful businesses to help people navigate the often confusing and censored natural healing world. She focused her abilities on sharing fact-based research to educate the public of the importance of herbal medicines and therapies, based on thousands of years of research. Her organic full spectrum CBD infused tinctures, body oils, healing salves, and teas have provided relief to her clients, friends and family across the globe.

Jo continues to manage a small counseling practice that focuses on Ayurvedic CBD extracts, oils, and tinctures. Her custom formulations often blend Ayurvedic and Western herbs, including synergistic blending with cannabis oils and flowers, showcasing her innovative approach to plant-based medicine. She understands the complexities behind starting and running a small business, specifically one which garners extra rules and unnecessary censorship.

Business Acumen and Leadership
Jo Tandberg brings a wealth of experience in business leadership, non-profit management, and community engagement. From 2004 to 2007, Jo was instrumental in the establishment of the White Salmon Valley Educational Foundation (WSVEF). As an original member of the pre-committee, she conducted extensive research and helped create this pioneering educational non-profit organization, aimed at benefiting the entire school system in White Salmon, WA. Her outstanding contributions led to her appointment as the first Vice President of the WSVEF.

In addition to her executive role, Jo conceptualized and launched their now annual fundraiser, The Grape Escape. This event continues to support local artists, farmers, wine makers, and teachers while also attracting significant matching funds from local benefactors. Over the past 18 years, the foundation has raised millions of dollars for the schools to access through community grants and the annual fundraiser has become a cornerstone of community support and educational enhancement in the region.

Jo's business credentials extend to her early career in mediation. In her early 20’s, she served as an intern for the Georgia State Supreme Court’s Commission on Professionalism, before transitioning to work at one of Atlanta’s oldest real estate law firms as an assistant to one of the partners. Her exceptional skills were further recognized when she received a state grant to organize and run a court-mandated mediation and education program in 13 counties, showcasing her ability to manage complex projects and drive impactful initiatives.
Community Involvement and Volunteering
Jo’s commitment to volunteerism reflects her passion for youth development and community engagement; she volunteered as a yoga teacher in elementary and high school while her kids were young. Her dedication to community service is evident in her volunteer work as a youth soccer coach for girls aged 9-12, including coaching the after season all-star teams. She regularly incorporated simple yet powerful elements of yoga in her coaching; her leadership and coaching skills led her teams to victory in the San Diego regionals.
